Yesterday, Spectacular Events celebrated its 23rd birthday. For twenty-three years now, we have delivered travel and event services like no other, and have really made our mark in the corporate, group and event travel space, not only in our home town on the Sunshine Coast, but internationally and domestically.
We’ve delivered conferences and corporate events globally, in every continent except the Antarctica, and throughout every state in Australia. We’ve also hosted and delivered group travel movements to each one of these regions and countries too. For twenty-three years, we have lived, breathed, delivered and curated thousands of events and tours, and working in the corporate space is what we do best.
Spectacular Events Pty Ltd and Spectacular World Travel have been in operation, with the same owner/manager, Zoë Sparks, for the duration of our existence since 1998. In recent years, we’ve also expanded in areas that complement our offering to enhance the services and products we deliver, all with the aim of delivering a TOTAL solution to our clients.
Four years ago, we set up eventtravel.com.au, an entity that delivers travel packages, events and itineraries that sit behind major events, primarily on the Sunshine Coast, but also throughout Australia. Three and a half years ago, we set up the extremely successful and thriving SHINE Business Women. Our primary focus in this space is to offer professional and personal development opportunities to women in business through events, an annual conference and annual retreat. This has also evolved organically into a membership program, published books showcasing women in business and a podcast, and is something of which we are extremely proud.
Our latest venture, SunSHINE Boxes, was launched in September last year and delivers boxes filled with Sunshine Coast produce, products and delights to corporate, homes, events and holiday accommodations. We hand deliver on the Sunshine Coast and also mail Australia wide. This has been a huge hit with our local businesses and charities in particular. All of our offerings blend together to offer a full client experience and a true, full event solution.
It would be remiss of me to not say a HUGE thank you to all of our clients, supporters, fans, suppliers and providers, and most importantly our staff (present and past) for your outstanding contribution, faith and loyalty which has kept us thriving, even in recent times which have often been challenging. We simply could not do what we do without you all, and I am truly grateful – especially as many of you are now friends.
So what’s next?
Our 2022 is already shaping up to be BIG in the conference and exhibition space. And our next few months are filled with group movements and events too, so it is exciting times ahead. We’re also finalising the details for our SHINE Business Women conference. This year’s theme is Step Up and it will be held on 22nd October 2021, on the Sunshine Coast so make sure you save the date as this is always popular!
